One of the jewels of the “Il Falcone” farmstay and farming business is the Tasting Hall.
Just like the majority of the buildings, the tasting hall has also maintained its traditional Tuscan style, with beautiful stone walls and terracotta floors.
Inside the hall you get a sense of the place’s long history, you can admire the old farming tools on the walls and photos of the company taken in the 50s and 60s. By simply admiring the photographs you understand how the Petri family has been able to retain a strong link with the past through its restoration work that, although now finished, has in no way undermined the original features.

The tastings of the farm products are open to both guests at the farmstay and non-guests, and thanks to the outdoor spaces available, the company can also welcome large groups of up to 50 people for sampling and tasting events, lunches and buffet dinners; weather permitting, events are held in the garden in front of the house, otherwise the hall is used.
During the tasting, Paolo, FISAR (Italian Sommelier Federation) accredited sommelier, and Paola, member of the “panel test” tasting commission “Assaggiatori Provincia di Livorno”, will take you on a journey to discover the flavours of Il Falcone by tasting 6 wines, grappa and extra-virgin olive oil produced by the farm itself, providing a detailed description of each product and the appropriate food pairing.

Wine tasting is also accompanied by sampling extra virgin olive oil with delicious bruschetta.
On request, it is also possible to book, in addition to the standard tasting session, a sampling of some typical Tuscan products such as cheese and cured meat.
Once the tasting is over, there will be a guided tour through the estate’s wine cellars and, on request, also the magnificent centuries-old olive trees that surround the property.
Those who wish can even request in advance “tailor-made” tasting sessions based on your very own tastes and requirements.
All of the products you have tasted can be purchased directly on site: a great opportunity to take a piece of Tuscany home with you!

Organising a tasting session or event at the Il Falcone farming business is much more than just a food and wine experience, it is a way to switch off, to let yourself get lost in the unspoilt nature of the Tuscan countryside and discover genuine flavours and scents; take a long deep breath of the clean air of the hills of Suvereto and find out about the ancient history of the area and its traditions, you will leave regenerated and relaxed!
